# Plans and billing

How plans work in DameDoklad, what the limits count, and where to change your subscription.

A plan belongs to **one company**. You see it, with your usage against its limits, in **Settings > Subscription**. Current plans and prices are on the [pricing page](/en/pricing/); prices are preliminary until sales open.

## Trial

A new company gets 14 days of the Business plan, with no card. After that it continues on the free Starter plan unless you choose a paid one.

## What the limits count

| Limit | What it counts |
| --- | --- |
| **Documents a month** | Issued and received invoices dated in the current month, except drafts. |
| **Users** | People with access to the company. |

Going over a limit gets a clear message in the app, and a `402` with the code `plan_limit` in the [API](/en/docs/errors-and-limits/). Your data stays either way.

## Paying

Paid plans go through Stripe. From **Settings > Subscription** you open Stripe’s page for the card, invoices and cancelling.

We have tested billing against a simulated Stripe, not yet with live payments.
